At a time of intense media scrutiny and regulatory intervention, which ultimately led to the banking royal commission, Adam undertook an extensive analysis of the evolution of the broking industry, to showcase its roots and offer readers an understanding of how these roots had created the current state of play and how this may in turn impact the industry going forward.

The four-month project involved in-depth interviews with around 20 founding stakeholders and extensive background research. The findings were then published as a three-part print series, which were subsequently compiled into an ebook. It was the first time such a detailed overview of Australia’s mortgage and finance broking industry had ever been compiled, and attracted considerable praise from across the industry for its detail, design and business value.
